When we first opened the shop we used to trade 7 days a week but after several years realised that being so close to two supermarkets the turnover on a Sunday did not justify Keith and I being involved. So we decided to close Sundays and have a day of leisure. We usually go for a country walk or catch up on our own shopping.
This Sunday we went to the farmers’ market at Otley. It is held the last Sunday of each month. There are a good number of stalls selling all sorts of farmer fare. We came away with meat pies, quiche, beef, chicken, bread, herbs and spices. It is going to take a bit longer to shed the Christmas pounds!
